LEGAL PROCEDURE

Purchasing your very own Turkey real estate is not that cumbersome but it can be time consuming. However, our company will provide any and all assistance possible for this transaction so you do not have to worry about anything.

NOTE: Foreigners can own any piece of real estate in Turkey under their own name.

As soon as a sale is done, meaning the seller already received the full amount of the payment and the buyer already received all documentations required to transfer the title, an application to the local land registry is made to acquire the original Title Deed of the property (known locally under the term TAPU). After this, a photocopy of your passport will be sent to the Ministry of Defense for authentication and authorization. This process will take about 10 to 14 weeks. Once all the checks for the payment of the real estate property are good and your passport is authorized by the Ministry of Defense, the Title Deed is now ready to be placed under your name.

Only the person who purchased the real estate property or his or her official appointed representative are legally permitted to sign all legal documents pertaining to the real estate transaction especially the Title Deed or TAPU. It is the obligation of the purchaser or authorized representative to personally appear before the appointed office in order to finalize and collect
all required documents for the transfer of the title.
